Automobiles in German Town Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Officers stated they were contacted by a individual who discovered a automobile in Hanau marked with red-colored liquid

Roughly 50 vehicles have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the German town of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Automobiles, walls and postboxes were defaced, occasionally with swastikas, they announced in a release.

Law enforcement state they were notified during the night on Wednesday night, when a man noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued liquid.

The liquid had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they reported.

Police then found numerous other marked automobiles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

Swastikas are prohibited in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement state initial examinations show the liquid was most likely human blood.

"Currently there is no lead as to where it came from; officials are presently not aware of any harm in association with the occurrence," they added.

Local authorities stated they were working "to unravel the case" and have requested to the residents for details.

A senior political figure stated the vandalism left him without words and had to be resolved promptly.

"This event strikes at the core of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the right-wing violent incident five years ago," he posted on a platform, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on people of migrant background in February 2020.
